Well after a lot of drama in Saturday night finally Imran Khan is removed from the designation of Prime Minister and he become the first Pakistani PM to be removed by no confidence motion. If the opposition failed in the no confidence motion then also Imran get an achievement of completing 5 years as PM. And it tells lot about Pakistan's bonsai democracy that how a mediocre person can easily become popular choice of a country and when time comes to face the no confidence motion he show the world that he is devoid of any integrity.
Imran Khan as quoted in his last few speech about India that ''Hindustan ek khuddar kom hai jo apne logo ki sunnta hai'' which means "Hindustan is a selfless community that listens to its people". But when the time has come to show his integrity towards his country's constitution he was seen just opprobrium that. Well I guess he doesn't read about Atal Vihari Vajpayee no confidence motion who resign from PM's chair for just 1 vote that was against him.
Late night drama inside & outside the parliament
Speaker Asad Qaiser & Deputy Speaker Qasijm Suri resign before the voting of no confidence as according to them it is a foreign conspiracy (indirectly blaming USA) against Imran Khan. During all this drama prison van was called outside of the parliament ,if speaker or any PTI(Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf) member interrupt the voting then they may be taken to prison by the prison van. After all this drama Ayaz Sadiq of PML-N(Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz) become the new speaker of the house. And under him voting is carried out where out of 342 members174 supported the motion against Imran Khan. And he removed from the PM's post. The PTI members walk out during the voting.
Shahbaz Sharif will be the next PM
Shahbaz Sharif is the younger brother of Nawaz Shahrif. He was former cheif minister of Punjab Province of Pakistan. He with Maryam Nawaz (daughter of nawaz) & Bilawal Bhutto (son of Benazir) was trying to build a unified opposition against Imran from mid 2020 onwards and now he is successful. But the larger challenge would be to make stable government for 1.5 years until the fresh election. As he has many coalition partners so it would be hard for him to take any decision also his majority is so thin 172 seats needed to become a majority party and his coalition has 174 seats.
The 3 demands of Imran Khan
The three demands of Imran Khan put before the opposition are protection for him from arrest, leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif should not become the prime minister and immunity under Pakistan's controversial ordinance, National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
