Part of a huge rocket that launched China's first module for its Tianhe space station is falling back to Earth and could make an uncontrolled re entry at an unknown landing point.
The 30-metre high core of the Long March 5B rocket launched the "Heavenly Harmony" unmanned core module into low Earth orbit on 29 April from Wenchang in China's Hainan province. The Long March 5B then itself entered a temporary orbit, setting the stage for one of the largest ever uncontrolled re-entries.
There are several possible places where debris that survives re-entry into Earth's atmosphere could crash down including New York. Madrid and Beijing in the Northern Hemisphere and southern Chile and Wellington, New Zealand, in the Southern Hemisphere.
Few day ago China post an image where they compare their rocket's ignition from the fire of crematorium in India. This post speaks the feelings of arrogance & hatred of chinese people towards India. And in the post the ignited rocket was Tianhe which was carrying the module of the space station.
This is not the first time when chinese rocket Long march 5b is uncontrollable after placing one of the module of china's Tianhe space station. Earlier in 2020 similar incident has happened when the partially survived debris such as a long metal rod of 33 feet of Long march 5b rocket fell over the west coast of Africa esp. Ivory coast. Buildings were damaged but no one is harmed.
USA will not shoot down the falling debris of China
Operation Burnt Frost was a military operation to intercept and destroy a non-functioning U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) satellite named USA-193.The launch occurred on 20 February 2008 at approximately 10:26 pm EST from the USS Lake Erie which used a heavily modified Standard Missille-3 (SM-3) to shoot down the satellite. Only a few minutes after launch, the SM-3 intercepted its target and successfully completed its mission, by neutralizing the potential dangers the errant satellite originally posed.
Following the operation, China and Russia criticized the U.S. operation. The destruction of USA-193 came just weeks after Russia had drafted a new treaty to ban space weapons which was backed by China at a UN sponsored forum. This treaty would ban the use of weapons against satellites or other spacecraft.
